Mazis specializes in heartfelt and poetic lyrics with strong melodies and has been writing and performing for various artists across different genres. “songwriting is diving into the free world of your mind, when you write or talk, and then shaping it, form it, to bring it to the outside world”

You don’t have to be an excellent musician or singer or writer yet.Mazis will support you to share your work. He will work together with other music and writing teachers in Het Wilde Westen. The goal is to have your song played at the presentation night. By you, solo, or with the supporting musicians.

Subjects in the course: how to start, and how to end a song, what is a chorus, what is a verse, what is a hook, what is a hit, how to keep the audience engaged, how to tap into the core.

The meeting will be in English, but Dutch is being learned, and already understood, so also if you’re writing in Dutch you are welcome.
